Vidpak — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Vidpak (“the app”) is a video compressor for iPhone and iPad made by an independent developer, Dmitrii Bobrov (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your data.
In short
- We do not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDK in the app.
- Your videos are compressed on your device and never uploaded anywhere.
- The app does not connect to our servers or to anyone else’s.
Access to your photo library
The app asks for access to your photo library to find your videos, measure their size, compress them and save the compressed copies back to your library with the original date, location, Favorites and albums. All processing happens on your device. Originals are deleted only when you choose to delete them, and iOS moves them to Recently Deleted.
Videos stored only in iCloud are downloaded by iOS through Apple’s Photos framework before compression. That download happens between your device and Apple and is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Data saved on your device
The app keeps its settings, the history of compressed videos and a compression log on your device. They are not sent to us. The log leaves the device only if you share it yourself, for example when you write to us for help. Deleting the app removes this data.
Purchases
If the app offers in-app purchases, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your payment details.
Children
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
